誠忠義士傳シリーズは、忠臣蔵を題材にした演目『仮名手本忠臣蔵』に登場する人物を描いています。
『仮名手本忠臣蔵』とは、史実の赤穂事件を基に創作されているものの、登場人物や時代背景を室町時代(南北朝時代)に置き換えられています。

The Seichu Gishi Den series depicts characters from the play “Kanatehon Chushingura,” which is based on the Chushingura story.
Although “Kanatehon Chushingura” is based on the historical Ako Incident, the characters and historical background have been replaced with the Muromachi period (the period of the Northern and Southern Dynasties).
