禅宗のお寺で食事の時間などを知らせたり、食事のメニューを声を出して、知らせる役目をする僧で下記の面のような、少年、童子がその任にあたり喝食行者（かっしきあんじゃ）と呼ばれその少年の顔を面にしたもので、特に額に銀杏（いちょう）の葉型の前髪を書いた半僧半俗の少年の面。
前髪の大きさにより大喝食、中喝食、小喝食などの種類があります。

In particular, it refers to the face of a half-monk / semi-boy who wrote a ginkgo leaf-shaped bangs on his forehead.

(large),Tyu-kassiki(middle),Sho-kassiki(small).
