邯鄲男は、一炊の夢の故事を題材にした「邯鄲」に用いるが、「高砂」「養老」などで若い男神の役にも使用する。男神はかつて瞳に銅板を嵌めた厳しい表情の怪士系の面が用いられていたが、室町時代後期頃から邯鄲男が用いられるようになったという。
Kantan-Otoko is used for "Kantan", which is based on the story of the dream while the cooking, but also used for the role of a young male god in "Takasago" and "Yoro". It is said that the male god used to be a monster-type face with a severe expression with a copper plate fitted in his eyes, but Kantan-Otoko have been used since the late Muromachi period.
