Shoda Kakuyu (1879-1948)
Meiji-Japanese-style painter in the Showa period.
Born in Nara prefecture. He is a graduate of Kyoto City Arts and Crafts
He studyed by Yamamoto Shunkyo. "Seaside" was selected at Bunten Exhibition in Meiji 40, and "Kureyuki" and "Yabakei Morning" have been exhibited since then.
In 1943, he became an assistant professor at Kyoto City University of Arts (currently Kyoto City University of Arts) and later a professor.
In the 8th year of the Taisho era, he formed the Japanese Freedom Painting Association with Chokusai Uenaka and others.
He died on April 25, 1948.

庄田鶴友　（1879－1948）　
明治-昭和時代の日本画家。
奈良県出身。京都市美術工芸学校卒。本名は常喜。
明治12年9月28日生まれ。山元春挙にまなぶ。明治40年文展で「海辺」が入選,以後も「暮雪」「耶馬渓の朝」などを出品。
京都市立絵画専門学校(現京都市立芸大)助教授,のち教授。
大正8年植中直斎らと日本自由画壇を結成した。
