Maiko beach, located between Kobe City and Akashi City, is famous as a scenic spot where a sparse forest of pine trees of various shapes and sizes stretches along the shore, with Awaji Island floating across the Akashi Strait. Maiko beach is said to have been named after its pine tree branches.
