浅草駒形河岸の竹屋の前で、真夏の午後にスケッチした作品です。
道ばたに、荷馬車の馬がもの倦けに立っている姿や車上に睡る馬方など、いかにも夏らしさが感じられる作品です。
こちらを当時の姿を再現し、復刻した作品となります。

Painting done in early summer, 1919
This work was sketched on a midsummer afternoon in front of a bamboo shop on the Asakusa Komagata riverbank.
The horses in the wagon standing wearily on the roadside and the horses sleeping on the wagon give the work a summery feel.
