月岡芳年が明治21年(1888年)に発表した『風俗三十二相』シリーズの一枚です。
『風俗三十二相』とは、江戸時代後期寛政年間から、明治時代にかけての様々な年代・年齢・階層の女性たちを描いた連作の作品です。
芳年の傑作、または代表作の一つとされています。

This is one of the series of “Fuzoku Sanjyuni-so"(Thirty-Two Daily Scenes) published by Yoshitoshi Tsukioka in the 21st year of Meiji (1888).
The “Fuzoku Sanjyuni-so”(Thirty-Two Daily Scenes) is a series of paintings depicting women of various ages and classes from the Kansei era in the late Edo period to the Meiji era.
It is considered one of Yoshitoshi's masterpieces or representative works.
