平敦盛が十六歳で須磨の浦の戦いで消えた少年の顔を描いたもの。
また童子が１５夜の月の面と言われるのに対し１６夜の月の面とも言われる。
かわいいえくぼがある少年の面。「敦盛」「経政」「朝長」などに用いる。
